Applications are invited from suitably qualified applicants to fill vacant posts tenable at Ministry of Health Headquarters (MoH-HQ), Uganda Heart Institute (UHI), Uganda Cancer Institute (UCI), Butabika National Mental Referral Hospital (BNRH), Regional Referral Hospitals (RRHs) and Uganda Prisons Health Services (UPHS). Applications should be filled in triplicate on PS Form 3 (Revised 2008) and submitted to the Secretary, Health Service Commission at Plot No.1 Pilkington Road, Workers House, 3rd Floor (Northern Wing) or through P.O. Box 7452, Kampala; to be received not later than 17th March, 2017.

Applicants should access the details of each post including person and job specifications on the Commission's website. The advert will also be available in the mentioned Institutions.

Applicants should strictly adhere to the following requirements to avoid disqualification:


  1. Complete all parts of the application form (PSF 3, Revised 2008) and submit three (3) copies. Each applicant should apply for only one (1) vacancy.


  1. On each application form the following must be attached;

  1. Recent and original passport size photograph.

  2. Copies of the academic and professional certificates.

  3. Evidence of training in a specialized area where applicable.

  4. Copies of letters of appointment, plus confirmation letters as it may apply.

  5. Copies of Registration Certificates and valid Practicing Licenses for Health Workers who are required by law to register with the relevant Professional Councils.

  6. Copy of National and current Institutional Identification Card.


  1. It is emphasized that:

  1. All application forms must bear the name of the Institution, title of the post and its reference number.

  2. Applicants must state clearly on the application forms their contact addresses, telephone numbers and email addresses.

  3. Applicants who are serving Officers must route their applications through their Heads of Department, or Heads of Institution where applicable.

  4. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
